VinScroll vs Phyron
Phyron is a Swedish company whose software turns a dealer's existing photos and inventory data into vehicle videos. Its Inventory Ads make every car in your catalog a short-form video ad for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google, refreshed as stock changes. Phyron says over 4,000 dealers and partners in 30+ countries use it.
How Phyron and VinScroll compare
| Phyron | VinScroll | |
|---|---|---|
| What it makes | Inventory Ads (short-form video ads for Meta, TikTok, and Google) and Inventory Videos for VDPs and marketplaces, built from your existing photos. source | A branded vertical video ad for every unit in stock, run as paid social on Meta. |
| Per-VIN coverage | "Every car in your catalog becomes a short-form video ad for Facebook and Instagram." source | Every unit in your live feed gets its own ad. On this row the two are the same. |
| Inventory sync and sold-unit takedown | Ads are "refreshed as your stock changes," so new arrivals are covered. The page doesn't mention price changes or sold units (checked 2026-09-30). Ask them how fast sold units come down. source | New arrivals get an ad automatically, as with Phyron. Price changes rebuild the ad, and sold units come down the same day. |
| Who manages ad spend | Not stated. Phyron calls its product a "platform-ready content engine" and doesn't say who builds the campaigns or whose ad account holds the spend (checked 2026-09-30). source | We build and run the campaigns. Spend is billed at cost in your own ad account. |
| Contract term | Not published. No price or term on the homepage, Paid Ads, or Inventory Videos pages. The site offers a free demo (checked 2026-09-30). source | Month-to-month. |
| Creative style | Phyron offers a synthetic voiceover in over 22 languages, with four male and four female voices in each. The Paid Ads page doesn't say whether the ads use it (checked 2026-09-30). source | Branded vertical video made for social feeds. No synthetic voiceover. |
| Reporting the dealer can verify | Not described. The Paid Ads page doesn't say what reports dealers get (checked 2026-09-30). source | A monthly plain-English email: reach, video views, VDP clicks, cost per VDP view. Every ad shows in Meta Ad Library and in your own ad account. |

Questions dealers ask
Is VinScroll a replacement for Phyron or an add-on?
A replacement, for paid social. Both put every car in stock into video ads that follow your inventory, so you'd pick one. Phyron's pages don't say who runs the campaigns, whose ad account holds the spend, or what the contract is. Ask them those three questions.
Does Phyron require a 12-month contract?
They don't publish contract terms; ask for them in writing. VinScroll is month-to-month.
Does Phyron cover every car on the lot?
Yes, by its own description. The Paid Ads page says every car in your catalog becomes a video ad, refreshed as your stock changes. VinScroll does the same, so whole-lot coverage isn't what separates the two.
Do Phyron's ads use a synthetic voice?
Phyron offers one. A news post on its site describes voiceover in over 22 languages with four male and four female voices each. The Paid Ads page doesn't say whether it's on by default, so ask for a sample ad. VinScroll uses no synthetic voiceover.
Why are there no dealer reviews on this page?
We found no Phyron listing on Capterra and no Phyron threads on DealerRefresh or r/askcarsales. Its G2 page wouldn't load for us. The quotes above come from Phyron's own site.
